Girl Kicks Herself Free From Abductor In South Jersey: Police

Police in South Jersey are investigating an attempted child abduction, authorities said.

A young girl said she was walking northeast on Weekstown Road headed towards Pleasantmills Road when a male driver stopped on Sunday, Mullica Township police said.

His vehicle was described as a small red "beat up and dirty" car, police said. The car's make and model were unknown. Police said the man stopped alongside the girl, got out and grabbed the victim by the arm. 

"The victim was able to kick the suspect and escape," Mullica police said.

The suspect then drove off southwest on Weekstown Road. towards Columbia Road, they said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a mustache wearing a beanie hat and dark-colored hoodie, with a thick Spanish accent.
